Managing director, Mr Peter Denby, set up the company in 1966 and has since guided the firm to its present position of one of the north-wests most respected and successful engineering businesses.

In 1977 Denby & Sharp Ltd acquired a sheet metal business.

In 1980 Denby & Sharp Ltd moved into computerized machine tools, to ensure competitiveness in an ever-changing market.

1990 saw another major change with the acquisition of the sawing business and premises of Gilberg & Brierley Ltd at our present location in the Walton-le-Dale area of Preston, Lancashire,UK.

We produce products of a high standard and look forward to continued success for many years to come.
